Baker Environmental Nursery is a wholesale grower serving landscape contractors, nurseries, municipalities, and other green industry professionals. We do not sell directly to homeowners or the general public.

Order minimums and timing may vary by season and destination. As a general guideline:

• Minimum order: $300
• Notice on new orders: please give us at least 48 hours’ notice on all orders so we can pull and stage your material properly.
• Additional lead time: some shipment types or larger orders may require additional lead time; please contact our office for current details.

Baker Environmental Nursery does not operate its own local delivery trucks. All orders are either:

• Shipped via UPS Ground
• Shipped via LTL freight (TForce Freight)
• Shipped via 3rd-party dedicated truckload
• Picked up at the nursery

UPS Ground Service

UPS Ground is available for smaller orders that can be boxed.

Box Capacities

• DP50 trays: 2 trays per box
• 18-cell (4") flats: 2 flats per box
• #1 gallons: 8–10 per box, depending on plant height

Schedule

• UPS shipments are scheduled Monday through Wednesday.
• Wednesday shipments are limited to 1-day transit destinations only.
• We do not schedule UPS shipments for Thursday or Friday.

Charges

• UPS charges are based on box weight and destination.
• There is an additional $5.00 per box charge.
• If you would like an estimate before shipping, we are happy to provide one.

LTL Freight – TForce Freight

For larger shipments, we ship via TForce Freight.

Customer Pickups

You are welcome to pick up orders directly at the nursery.

• Spring pickup hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Closed for lunch: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Please give us 48 hours’ notice for all pickups so we can pull and stage your order. This reduces wait times and ensures your plants are ready when you arrive.

When Your Order Arrives

To help us serve you quickly and fairly, please:

Inspect Upon Arrival

• Count boxes, racks, or pallets while the driver is present.
• Note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing.

Unpack Immediately

• Remove plants from boxes or shrink-wrap as soon as possible.
• Water as needed and place plants in appropriate holding conditions.

Verify Accuracy and Condition

• Check species, sizes, and quantities against your acknowledgment.
• Inspect plants for transit damage or major quality concerns.

We understand plans change, and we’ll accommodate adjustments whenever possible.

Additions

Additions to an existing order are accepted up to 1 business day before shipment or pickup, subject to availability.

Reductions / Cancellations

Cancellations or major reductions received less than 2 business days before shipment may be subject to a restocking fee, as plants have already been pulled and staged.

Custom or Contract-Grow Orders

Once production has begun, these orders cannot be canceled.

Please review each order acknowledgment carefully and contact us if anything looks incorrect.

We guarantee that plants leaving our nursery are:

• Healthy and well-rooted
• True to name
• Suitable for shipment at the time they leave our care

Some crops may be trimmed back for shipping, and in cooler months plants may arrive dormant with little or no visible top growth. This is normal and does not indicate poor quality.

Because growing conditions after delivery are beyond our control (handling, planting, weather, site conditions, etc.), we cannot guarantee performance once plants leave the nursery. Our responsibility is limited to the purchase price of the plants.
